UVC In-Duct HVAC

UVC in-duct HVAC systems

Ultraviolet UVC in-duct HVAC fixtures are designed to be used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (AC) systems. They can be installed in new or existing ducts, and are versatile enough in number of lamps and length to be used in most HVAC technology. Common applications include residential and commercial HVAC systems, homes, hospitals, laboratories, office/commercial buildings, and manufacturing facilities.

About UVC In-Duct Systems

In-Duct HVAC UVC systems are designed to sanitize air as it circulates through a building.

Commercial UVC HVAC

Commercial buildings may need multiple in-duct ultraviolet systems to provide enough germicidal irradiance for large buildings. The number of lamps, length of the bulbs, and output of the fixtures need to be determined so optimum germicidal power is supplied from the commercial HVAC UVC system. Installing one or more of these in a building's ventilation system can provide cleaner air than using HEPA filters alone.

Commercial Outdoor UVC HVAC

Outdoor UVC HVAC systems are rugged enough to withstand weather conditions. They use weatherproof housings and can be installed on rooftop air conditioning units or outdoor ventilation ducts. In some cases, this makes installation and maintenance easier than if the unit was installed indoors.

Cooling Coil UVC Systems

Commercial cooling coils can become breeding grounds for harmful pathogens due to the buildup of moisture on the units. While UVC cooling coil systems will sanitize air as it circulates, they are designed to provide high levels of germicidal power directly to coils to prevent microbial growth. The UV bulbs and components are manufactured to be moisture-proof.

Residential UVC HVAC

Residential UVC HVAC units are a great addition to any home and can provide cleaner air. These systems are easy to install and maintain, and they come in a variety of styles and sizes. There are even residential evaporator coil UVC units that are similar to the commercial cooling coil systems, but at a fraction of the cost for residential homes.

PTAC UVC

Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTAC) are used in homes, classrooms, hotels, and other areas where a central ventilation system is unavailable or not powerful enough. These units can become breeding grounds for mold, fungus, and other microbes. Our PTAC UVC units are designed to irradiate the inside of these room air conditioners.

Replacement UV Parts

The UVC bulbs, germicidal ballasts, and other components of these systems need to be replaced as a matter of routine maintenance. Ballasts may last 3-7 years, while ultraviolet light bulbs usually need to be replaced every 1-2 years.
